Meet the epitome of the Huayra legacy

The latest in a lineage of extra special Paganis is this Huayra Epitome, and it's the only Huayra to feature a manual transmission.

Pagani has introduced the Huayra Epitome, a one-off creation from its Grandi Complicazioni division. Pagani’s Grandi Complicazioni division, inspired by the world of Haute Horlogerie, specializes in creating ultra-limited series cars featuring the finest craftsmanship. This division offers seemingly endless customization opportunities, working with clients to fulfill their desires and create cars that are somehow even more special than your "regular" Paganis. This particular project, a result of over nine months of conceptualization and ten months of design, embodies the epitome of the Huayra, proving that Pagani can still produce a desirable car with a now-aging platform.

The Huayra Epitome project began with a client who commissioned a unique vehicle that would elevate the Huayra to its "highest expression". At its core, the Epitome features a 6.0-liter twin-turbo V12 engine built by Mercedes's AMG division, producing 864 HP and 1,100 Nm of torque. However, the highlight of the Epitome point lies between that engine and the cabin. The Epitome is the first and likely only Huayra equipped with a manual transmission, intended to provide a pure mechanical driving experience. Particularly, a 7-speed box from Xtrac. However, this client wanted more than just the feeling of the manual shift; he wanted to have it on display. The Epitome has gorgeous exposed gear linkages, which might just solely justify the enormous price tag this car likely demands.

The mechanical enhancements in the Huayra Epitome extend to its suspension system, which reduces dive during acceleration, pitch during braking, and roll during cornering. A "super soft" button in the cabin activates the new active suspension system for increased comfort on rough roads, much like Ferrari's "bumpy road mode". From speeds above 93 mph to the Epitome's top speed of 217.5 mph, the super soft mode will be disabled.

The car’s design is pure and elegant, featuring numerous elements tailored to the client's specifications. These include a redesigned front bumper with an integrated splitter and integrated daytime running lights, a new front hood, and a redesigned rear hood with that fabulous integrated wing. The gorgeously blue six-way titanium exhaust system is said to produce a symphony of sounds that accompany every acceleration, and given Pagani's past work, there is little reason to doubt that. The forged aluminum alloy wheels, inspired by the client’s Imola Coupé, feature a unique seven-spoke design.

All that said, with cars like the Epitome, words fail to faithfully convey the artistry involved. So sit back, and enjoy the most special part of the Epitome, or indeed any Pagani, the undeniably beautiful design of every inch of the car.
