Rimac celebrates its the 15th birthday this glorious Nevera 15th Anniversary Edition
In an unbelievably short span of time, Rimac Automobili has become a household name for high-performance electric powertrains and vehicles. Not only do they produce some of the most impressive electric hypercars, but they supply electric powertrains for more than 10 OEMs, including BMW, Hyundai, and Aston Martin. Such a company rightfully deserves a worthy celebration of its 15th birthday, and that is exactly what the Nevera 15th anniversary serves to be.

In 2009, Mate Rimac founded Rimac Automobili, despite being overwhelmingly discouraged about the idea of starting a car company in Croatia. His vision was perceived by many as impossible and over-ambitious. By 2011, he set numerous world records with a self-converted all-electric BMW E30, which was initially dismissed as a "washing machine." Then in 2013, the 8 Rimac Concept Ones went into production, one of which famously met a fiery death at the bottom of a Swiss hill. In 2018, Rimac announced the world’s first all-electric hypercar, which exceeded all performance expectations and produced all kinds of ridiculous numbers, the record-breaking Nevera. Perhaps one of the company's most celebrated achievements, Rimac acquired Bugatti to create Bugatti Rimac, which culminated in the epic Tourbillon. So while Rimac might not have a century-long pedigree, their achievements are well worth celebrating.

Only nine units of this bespoke car will be built, debuting with a new copper matte paint and featuring exclusive design elements such as the dual-tone alloy wheels, 15th Anniversary badging, and a pattern emulating a circuit board that runs along the top of the car. The 15th anniversary edition also marks the first time a Rimac leaves the factory with matte finish paintwork.

In keeping with the theme of the exterior, the interior features copper anodized switchgear, copper-painted surfaces, and special inscriptions, with options for a black or white cabin, which will of course be accented with copper leather. As with any hypercar with considerable cargo space, each car includes bespoke luggage matching the interior. The first of these limited edition Neveras will be showcased at the 2024 Goodwood Festival of Speed, and are set to cost €2,350,000 each, inclusive of all options. It is likely safe to presume that all 9 cars are already spoken for.
